Date Idea #84 – Create a diamond painting masterpiece

It’s time to show your artistic side and make a diamond painting together for your date.

Diamond painting is fairly new, so it’s a fun activity that most people have not done before. A diamond painting is a pre-determined piece of art that is built by placing small colored pieces of plastic (ie diamonds) that form a complete image once you are done. The kit comes with dozens of colors to use and the artwork template shows you where each colored piece will be placed to form the completed artwork.

You can find diamond painting kits at craft stores or online and can choose from thousands of possible subjects. The larger the size, the longer it will take to complete and the more expensive it can get. Fun fact: There is actually no paint involved when making a “diamond painting”.

Here is your date plan:

Step 1- Visit a local craft store or shop online and find a diamond painting you both would enjoy doing.

Step 2 – Plan an evening at home to put together the artwork masterpiece. If it’s a big size, plan on multiple date nights to complete, as it can be time-consuming to get it all done.

Step 3 – When you complete the diamond painting, put the artwork in a frame and hang it in your home.
