Date Idea #135 – Write a message and send it in a bottle

Add some fun and mystery to your date night by writing a message in a bottle.

If you have ever walked down a beach, you have probably had the thought of finding a message in a bottle washed up on the shore. Make someone’s day by creating your own message in a bottle and sending it into the ocean, local lake or backyard pool just for fun.

Date Steps:
1. Get a small bottle for your note.
2. Write a short note about your life. Include your contact into if found.
3. Put the message in the bottle and seal it up tight. Send it into the water or bury it in sand for someone to discover.

Note: Many boats and cruise ships have rules prohibiting throwing items off the boat. Be aware of local laws. To play it safe, you can always just keep the bottle and open it like a time capsule at a future date.

No matter what you decide, it’s a fun date activity and you will never know who your message will get to.
